Dexter: Resurrection – Cast, Story & Everything We Know Including Neil Patrick Harris Sighting

It’s hard to keep a TV serial killer with good intentions to only harm the bad guys down. But that’s what Michael C Hall has done through the years with his character Dexter in Dexter and Dexter New Blood. And that’s why fans are eager for the new TV series called: Dexter: Resurrection.

Dexter appeared to be fatally wounded at the end of New Blood which is why the REVIVAL series is called “Resurrection.” And surprise-Neil Patrick Harris was spotted filming “Dexter: Resurrection” with Michael C. Hall in New York City recently.

The “How I Met Your Mother” alum will play a character named Lowell. Details about his role are under wraps, but he was wearing a brown wig that looked similar to Hall’s hair, so he could be a long-lost relative.

It’s unclear if his Dexter character is good or bad. Harris is set to appear as Lowell, but there are no further details outside his name. Presumably, Lowell will be a somewhat major character because of Harris’s A-list status, but no further info at this time.

Remember on the original “Dexter,” many of the foes he faced off against were big name actors. John Lithgow played his biggest adversary, the Trinity Killer.

Kill Bill star Uma Thurman has joined the cast as the new character, Charley, who is a former Special Ops officer who now works as a private security guard for an eccentric billionaire. Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) was announced to play the aforementioned billionaire, Leon Prater, who appears to be philanthropic but is actually harboring evil secrets. Prater has been described as the main villain of the sequel series.

Dexter: Resurrection begins filming in January and is scheduled to debut on Showtime and Paramount+ in Summer 2025.
