‘Friends’ Ended 20 Years Ago: Matthew Perry’s Request and Who Leaked the Final Script?

It’s been 20 years since “Friends” took its final bow. The series titled “The Last One” was the fourth most watched ending in TV history.  And there were of course several series finale facts from the script being leaked to over a dozen wrap parties including one thrown by Brad Pitt for his then wife Jennifer Aniston.

After 10 years and in the final episode Monica and Chandler, end up with twins and move to the suburbs, while Ross and Rachel decide to end up more than friends. As a final farewell, all six friends leave their keys in Monica’s apartment and go for a cup of coffee.

In his memoir “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” Perry revealed that he asked producers to give him the final line of the series. Saying ” No one else will car about this but me”.  His book was published just one year before his death in October of last year.
