DC”S Blue Beetle was number one at the weekend box office dethroning the kingdom of Barbie. The pink cloud kingdom has held the top spot for over a month on the big screen, beating out other big releases Oppenheimer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Haunted Mansion.

Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, Blue Beetle is a superhero origin story based on the DC Comics character of the same name, played in the film by Cobra Kai’s (Netflix ) Xolo Maridueña.
