Many actors play characters, pretending to be someone else. And in real life, they may be nothing like that. They’re people just like you and me. That was certainly the case for actor Paul Reubens who won the hearts of millions of fans in the 80s as Pee-Wee Herman. He became an overnight success with his TV show and movie. But who was Pee-Wee Herman really? An upcoming documentary on HBO will pull back the curtain and allow the late Paul Reubens to tell us for himself. As I watched the trailer below, it really made me sad. I grew up watching Paul (Pee-Wee) and was a fan. He was hilarious and entertained so many fans. But now in this documentary, we learn that he had a private life that caused him pain at times. Reubens was a very talented performer and I’m really looking forward to seeing this.
