It was never cooler to be in detention than it was 40 years ago at Shermer High School. Your life would be changed forever as you sat with Bender, Claire, Brian, Andrew and Allison contemplating what you did wrong. Fans were in for a very rare treat as the original cast got together for the 40th anniversary of this iconic film over the weekend. They shared stories and took questions from the audience. Sadly, Mr. Vernon, played by Paul Gleason, was not present because he passed away a few years ago. To this day, if I see ‘The Breakfast Club’ pop up on TV or it’s streaming somewhere, I will absolutely watch some of it! So many good one liners. What would be even cooler, is if this cast would do a U.S. tour and not just one stop in Chicago as they did. They could charge $50 to $100 per tickets, sell merchandise, sell photo ops and autographs!! Not a bad pay day for these misfits if you ask me~
