Billy Idol recently was nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the first time ever, despite being eligible for roughly two decades. Even though he’s been overlooked in the past, the legendary rocker says it would be an “incredible honor” to be inducted as part of the Class of 2025.
“It’s incredible. What an incredible honor,” added the first-time Rock Hall nominee. “It just seems to me like an incredible honor.”
Idol is one of 14 performers nominated for the Rock Hall’s class of 2025 alongside Bad Company, the Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, Maná, Oasis, OutKast, Phish, Soundgarden and The White Stripes.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2025 inductees will be announced in late April.
