One of the most incredible musical careers is getting the documentary treatment again. Billy Joel’s story will be told in the upcoming two-part documentary, ‘Billy Joel: And So It Goes’. It’s set to premiere on HBO this summer (a specific date will probably be teased soon). In a statement, the film is said to be, “an expansive portrait of the life and music of Billy Joel, exploring the love, loss and personal struggles that fuel his songwriting.” What’s even more intriguing is that we’ll be shown never before seen footage of home movies, photos and performances. And an interesting twist is that Tom Hanks is the executive producer. He must be a fan and clearly sees the opportunity to tell Billy’s life story with another angle. I’ve loved Joel’s music since I was a kid and when I became a radio broadcaster, I learned more and more about ‘the piano man’. Billy has had many, many high moments in his life. But he’s also had setbacks, struggles and some dark moments too. He’s human. So often, we put musicians and celebrities in a glamour life, but in reality, they’re just like us~

This isn’t the first time Billy’s story has been told. He was featured on the Bio channel awhile back. Here’s what I found on YouTube:
