Paramount + has announced the series Landman has been renewed for a second season!
The show, set in the oil fields of West Texas, aired its Season 1 finale in January. Billy Bob Thornton stars in the drama as Tommy Norris, a landman — or professional working in the oil, gas and minerals industries — who he has described as someone “just worn out every minute of the day and with some dark issues he’s dealing with as well.”
“Landman was one of the biggest shows of the year because of [writer and director] Taylor Sheridan’s unique ability to tap into the boom town harnessing the Neo-western themes. The series is described as “an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
Landman, which also stars Demi Moore, Ali Larter, and Jon Hamm, is a huge hit for Paramount+, according to the network’s president and CEO, Chris McCarthy. While we wait for more news on Season 2 we can catch up on season one on Paramount+!
