Don’t look for Billy Idol to retire anytime soon (and fans are happy to hear that!). The Classic Hits artist has been working on a new album that’s expected to be released this April. Billy also will rack up the miles, out touring this year, making a stop here in August. Some of his fellow artists of that era are retiring or playing fewer ‘live’ shows. Check out his new single, ‘Still Dancing’. It has that ‘Billy Idol’ feel to it, but you’ll notice his voice sounds more weathered. Not surprising since he’s been performing since 1976. Other artists like Jon Bon Jovi have also adjusted their performances as they age. Not easy hitting the high notes like they used to. -Greg Browning/Afternoon Host on The Mix
