Two time Oscar winner, Gene Hackman has died at 95 years of age. What’s even more tragic is that he was found dead, along with his wife, Betsy Arakawa and their dog. The Associated Press is reporting that their bodies were discovered in their home in New Mexico yesterday. An investigation is underway.

Hackman was one of my favorite actors. He was brilliant in so many movies, from ‘Hoosiers’ to ‘The French Connection’ to ‘Birdcage’ to ‘The Firm’. Gene became the character he was playing. His impressive range more than demonstrated that he could be comedic but also very dramatic. Sadly, Hackman disappeared from Hollywood back in 2003, leaving fans wondering if he had retired. He seemed to want a private life and we would occasionally hear of a ‘Gene Hackman’ spotting. Such a talented man and a bizarre ending to his life~
