The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards were announced Thursday, and it was a big morning for “Emilia Pérez,” “The Brutalist” and “Wicked.” And the Oscar goes to – we’ll find out on Sunday, March 2 on ABC and — for the first time ever — live on Hulu.
“Emilia Pérez” led with 13 nominations, followed by “The Brutalist” and “Wicked” with 10 each.
The Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown has been nominated for 8 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Timothee Chalamet. This is big news because the film was pretty much prior awards like the Golden Globes.
Among the films to score big nominations were the Broadway-to-screen adaption of “Wicked,” and the Demi Moore-fronted “The Substance.”
I don’t know about you, but I need to grab some popcorn and get busy watching some of these nominated films. See the full list of nominees here: Oscar nominations 2025: See full list of nominees as ‘Emilia Perez’ leads
