The Rock Makes ‘Enormous’ Donation To Help ‘Actors & Crews Keep Food On Their Table’ During Hollywood Strikes

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made a sizeable donation to a foundation which will be used to help support actors as strikes continue in Hollywood.

For the first time in 63 years, actors are striking alongside film and television writers to demand higher pay and more royalties from streaming services.

Johnson’s seven-figure donation is the largest lump sum SAF AFTRA has received from a single donor since it was founded in 1985, according to a spokesperson. It’s being called a “milestone.”

You could say “The Rock” is living up to his nickname with a gift that will help thousands of the actors who are losing income and don’t have funds to bridge the gap. Read more here: The Rock makes ‘historic’ donation to SAG-AFTRA amid strike | news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site
