According to a report on TMZ, Britney Spears was slapped by security staff protecting recently drafted San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama. The incident happened Wednesday at Catch Restaurant inside ARIA in Las Vegas.

According to a witness report, Britney followed Victor into the restaurant and, in a British accent, said “Excuse me, Sir,” and went to tap him on the back. When she tapped him on the back, a member of his security team allegedly slapped her across the face so hard that it knocked her sunglasses off her face.

There are conflicting reports that his team and her team talked it out, she was issued an apology and accepted. Another report says her security team has filed a police report for battery. It appears that no one knew that it was Britney Spears approaching him.
