Someone polled 20,000 Americans to find what the consensus is. And most people think you shouldn’t have to share it. 31% said yes, you should, 45% said you can keep it private, and 25% weren’t sure, or think it depends.
Men were a little more likely to say passwords should be private. And age matters too. People under 35 are more likely to have an issue with not sharing passwords.
