One of the first things I do every morning is check Twitter (it’s not a healthy habit, but I at least know what’s up). And today everything said RESPECT TAYLOR SWIFT. Literally, all caps like that. All over the place.

And while I’m all about respecting women… the reason for this sudden spark sucks. Because a Netflix show called Ginny & Georgia used a crappy line against Taylor Swift for the show: “What do you care? You go through more men than Taylor Swift.”
canât believe things like this are still happening in 2021, itâs absolutely disgusting and misogynistic… RESPECT TAYLOR SWIFT pic.twitter.com/gF3DWZ5GiZ

And the internet is PISSED, and rightfully so. It’s 2021 and misogyny can go any minute now. *waiting*
Even Taylor has spoken about these challenges on her own documentary… ON NETFLIX. Here’s what she said about the new show on her own page:
Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY. Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesnât look cute on you đ Happy Womenâs History Month I guess pic.twitter.com/2X0jEOXIWp

But there are some great alternatives for what could be said about Taylor and people aren’t holding back on the options:
this is how you should be talking about taylor swift.
