New York City, Portland, and Tokyo will get to test out the reusable system that BK will roll out in early 2021. Customers will be able to opt for reusable containers for their food by paying a fee for them. They can get a refund upon return. Ya know, like a rental. The store would take care of cleaning returned containers, which sets them apart from the reusable container systems we know from Starbucks where customers own and wash their own cups.
Even if you’re very conscious of the environment, this would be an adjustment for many.
